~*Forever Dreaming*~

So as I tend not to update all the time, and I do like to gain new LJ/IJ friends... Decided to make a quick sticky post about me. =D

Born and raised in San Francisco, so I have much pride for my city and its sports teams (Go Niners! Go Giants!). I also tend to refer to SF as the City. All other "Cities" are just fakers. =P When asked (and surprisingly, asked a lot) I always say I'm American (also proud of being one despite all the stupid things our Government does), but I do have pride for my Central American roots (I'm half Guatemalen/Salvadorenian) and of being a Latina. Raised Catholic, I still consider myself one though really I believe in it all and don't give a crap what the Vatican says. Living with mum and dad and grandma. Have two older brothers, oldest has 2 kids not with him anymore and middle just had his first last year. I'm single (alas) and have just begun the next quarter of my life.

Currently looking for a job and taking a break from school. Lifegoal is to become an author, so I've been attempting to finish my first novel this past year. Most of the time I'm online doing fannish things or hanging out in chatrooms. Love all the social media/web2.0 stuff so best way to connect to me that way. =D

I love reading/writing/arting/videogaming. I'm into Anime/Manga and Sci-Fi/Fantasy mostly but of course tons of other things. I enjoy tv/movie watching and usually have lots to watch with the fam. I consider at the moment my two major fandoms to be HarryPotter and StarTrek though I do dabble in tons others.

I love both het and slash pairings, and for some reason tend not to ship the canon ships of most of the fandoms I'm in... ^^;; I draw and write fannish things from gen to nearly pwp status so fair warning. With very minor exceptions, I don't flock anything and am rather open about myself and my woes. And now, a listing of fave things to see if we truly are compatabile if LJdom... =P

not sure why this is hard to write, been staring here for a few weeks, since I finally came back online after about a month hiatus from the internet, computer, and even my own cell phone. what caused it? stuff that happened/not happened at the baptism (bro wanting more money, making homophobic jokes to our uncle, paying only attention to his kid's mother's side of the family, and expecting all was well even when none of us showed up to the park despite bringing goodie bags and FOOD that morning), plus personal health relating to my PCOS. i was at an all time low in my life and not even fandom for a bit could make it better.

but along with seeing a doctor and getting some stronger pills, and an impromptu comment party on my IJ from my fellow snupiners (seriously guys, you don't know how much that made me better. *hugs*), i thought i was well enough to come back. so i've been lurking, mainly in chat and reading flist... i may not be commenting but i'm am reading and trying to keep up y'all. -D this whole thing kinda battered my muse and despite getting so many awesome plot bunnies/tribbles, i just keep staring at blank pages and canvases...

still jobless but not for lack of trying, and planning to go back part time to school next semester. other than that was able to go to y-con to take my mind off things and had a relatively good time. been keeping up with lots of shows so if y'all want to chat about shows and such just comment or hit me up on aim/msn/yahoo/irc... XD (shows i follow: tbbt, himym, acidentally on purpose, ncis: la, flash forward, castle, white collar, v, cougartown, kinda eastwick, modern family, smallville for some reason, numb3rs... and i think that's about it lol)
